About Us

Critter Companion Center is a family-owned pet boarding, grooming, and training company. Our facilities are located in a rural setting on the north side of Spruce Hill Park. Our children used to raise goats, sheep, miniature cattle, rabbits, and chickens that they showed in 4-H, but now that they are grown and have sold out we have room for a new adventure. We remodeled the Kidding/Lambing shed to put in kennels and the space used to milk goats has been turned into a groom room. The outdoor pens that house the animals will be the dog runs. We are extremely excited to start this new adventure of grooming and boarding dogs and cats and will soon offer Dog classes.

Meet Our Team

Brandie Schlosser

Grooming, Boarding, Training

Brandie has been a volunteer Dog Trainer for the Douglas County 4-H for a number of years. Brandie graduated from Animal Behavior College Dog Trainer Program in 2024 with honors and began the Service Dog Trainer program through the same college. Brandie will be grooming, working with the boarders, and helping with Training.

RiverAnne Schlosser

Boarding, Grooming, Training Aide

RiverAnne started out in the Douglas County 4-H Dog Project and when she graduated out of 4-H wanted to give back and decided to help out with the project by being the main Rally Trainer. RiverAnne will be helping out Critter Companion Center as an extra set of hands in the grooming room and on the boarding side too. She will also be helping with the Dog Classes. RiverAnne will be taking pictures of the dogs and cats, with owner permission.

TJ Schlosser

Boarding, Training Aide

TJ has been helping with the Douglas County 4-H Dog Project on the Agility side for a number of years. TJ has been instrumental in the remodeling of the buildings and will be helping with the maintenance of Critter Companion Center. TJ will also be a helping hand in the boarding and Dog classes that we will be offering.
